No longer the “original” Dobie of 50+ years!
I have used and recommended the Scotch-Brite Dobie for 50+ years. Now the Dobie is made with inferior materials and falls apart with holes after one or two uses! I would pay more for the “original” Dobie! Otherwise, you’ve lost a loyal customer and I will never recommend the Dobie again!

What happened to this product?
My wife and I have been using Dobie pads for the 51 years of our marriage. I do most of the dishwashing and dishwasher loading and was always impressed with how well they worked and how long they lasted. That is, UNTIL the last year or so. They are now a very inferior product. The mesh wears out and gets holes in it within a matter of days and after 2 or so weeks have to be thrown away. We went from getting 3-6 months use out of one pad, to getting a week or two if we're lucky. After over 50 years of being loyal, happy customers we are searching for alternatives. And BTW, the price didn't change, but the quality sure did!!!

My Favorite
I have used Dobie Pads forever and a day, Nothing better to do my dishes with. I actually use the for all my cleaning needs. For some reason they are getting harder for me to find.

Quality has gone down
I used to get months out of one pad but now I'm lucky to get two weeks. The mesh is horrible and I'm scrubbing with a flimsy sponge. What happened?

Way to mess up a good product!
I have been using Dobie pads for decades as did my mother before me. In the past 6-12 months, I have noticed a huge decline in quality. They start falling apart after a short period of time so something has changed with its construction. I'll be exploring generic brands from now on - at least when they fall apart I will have saved some money.

Great product; wish it were more eco-friendly
I have used Dobies for decades and love them still. I don't own a dishwasher (so I wash a lot of dishes) and these work better than anything I’ve found by far. However I've recently tried to "green" all my cleaning supplies and ditch plastic and non-recyclable materials, but I don't want to give up Dobies! I wish these could be recycled or composted. 3M, if you are listening, please consider making an eco-friendly version! The current eco-friendly scrubbers I've found are just not as good as Dobie.

The only sponge I’ll ever use
I’ve been using these since 2016, and they’re all I’ll ever use now. After scrubbing my dishes and pans effectively I wring it out really good and store. Eventually though they start to smell. Easy solution. Wet it and microwave for 1 minute. It’ll be hot, so leave it for a bit, but it’ll be sterilized! After they take too much abuse I move them from the kitchen to the bathroom, and they finish their lives out doing the rough work. Great value and hold up well enough to do 2 jobs before they fall apart. I’m a fan.

Was a really great product...until now.
I have been using Dobies exclusively for years. I love them! I hand wash all my dishes and Dobies have always lasted several weeks... until right now. The last box I bought got holes in them immediately. I purchased another box because I figured I had just gotten a bad batch. The picture below is a pad that I opened last night. I am in the middle of using this pad for the second time and it has developed holes already. I am so upset that I stopped doing dishes to write this review. What has happened to your product??? I will be switching to a different brand.

Where is the Dobie Pad you USED TO make?
I must agree with many recent reviews. My family has used Dobie Pads for more than 50 years. Until some time recently, the pads lasted many weeks. Now I find that most pads develop holes in the mesh on the first use of the pad. I am very careful when cleaning knives or forks, so I assume this issue is due to a less resistant material being used for the mesh. Please return to the pads you used to make, or I will be forced to find another product.
